About the client
Our client is a regulated electricity distribution company operating in the City of Ottawa and the Village of Casselman in Ontario, Canada.
Client challenges
The client uses Oracle data integrator, and they primarily use Boomi as their integration platform. To enhance their Boomi platform, they required platform support and documentation. Some of the challenges they faced include:
- Absence of robust error-handling strategies and lackluster interfaces made monitoring difficult.
- ODI interfaces need better documentation.
- Production issues hampered the documented ODI processes.
Solution
We identified the current system and its shortcomings to provide a roadmap for migrating their ODI integrations to the Boomi platform.
- We analzyed their existing ODI integration and offered technical documentation.
- With the help of the new documentation, we fixed many production issues.
- Following the documentation, we migrated a significant integration project from ODI to Boomi.
- Due to additional requirements, we suggested Boomi as the go-to platform and developed multiple new web services with different levels of security.
- The latest web services were developed and delivered within two days and successfully promoted to UAT in a day.
