About the client

The client is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations, with businesses in 62 countries. They offer a wide range of financial products and services, including wealth management, investment banking, and commercial banking. The client is known for its capital strength and loyal customer retention.

Client challenges

Since the client was catering to the needs of customers from several demographics and geographical locations, they were having difficulties collecting and managing finance-related data from multiple sources as well as homegrown applications. Handling customer data like KYC through the KYC apps and other customer portals was also a challenge. Due to this reason, the client’s database was susceptible to data losses and was running the risk of data breaches due to lack of consistency and security.

Since most of these tasks were carried out manually, they lacked a tracking system that provided a clear picture of the data, especially when there was a delay. They also needed a centralized data management system to handle all data under one roof and efficiently manage and automate their data ingestion and extraction within their CRM (Dynamics 365) from multiple sources.

Solution
  • We created batch jobs that would process multiple data units within a single timeframe without any delays or data carryover. The real-time and near real-time data was compressed and pushed in the CRM as a single entity.
  • Once the data was pushed, the Azure Function Apps enabled data tracking that was used to identify the inflow and outflow of data from the CRM for a given time. Since the data was effectively monitored and tracked within the App, it helped prevent data loss, errors in data handling and promoted effective incident management.
  • Since the App enabled dynamic data processing of real-time data, the entity builder provided automatic updates on any additional data pushed into the CRM entities and logged the data entries within the respective backend fields.
