Client challenges
The customer faced significant challenges with data being siloed across various sources, including multiple home-grown applications like QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, Salesforce, and GREYTHR. This fragmentation hindered the predictive analytics models, resulting in inaccurate outcomes. Additionally, the reliance on manual processes made it difficult to generate critical business operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across multiple departments, such as finance, sales, and marketing.
Solution
Through a comprehensive discovery session, we identified the critical business challenges and implemented the following solutions to address them:
- Integrated data from various sources (such as QuickBooks, Zoho, Tally, Salesforce, and GREYTHR) into a central hub on Fabric Warehouse using Dataflow Gen2.
- Transformed and built a robust data model within the Fabric Warehouse and centralized all relevant data into a single repository for easy access and optimized reporting and analysis.
- Enriched Power BI Reports and intelligent dashboards were created that provided visualizations and intuitive insights into critical business KPIs.
- Created new tailored reports and dashboards to meet each department’s needs which also enabled business unit specific insights.
- Data-driven actionable insights from multiple operational tools were simultaneously leveraged, which enabled proactive decision-making based on real-time data analysis.
- Implemented data domain governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance, as well as established rules and protocols for data handling and access.
- Created dashboards on predictive modelling to analyze operating expense trends by Department as an amount or percentage of total revenue.
