Client challenges

The client already had an external-facing application to handle vendor registrations. However, it was unable to support registrations from new customers in France. The client needed assistance replacing the application with a robust application with well-defined workflows that would automate the registration process and prevent latency issues. 

The existing application faced the following roadblocks: 

  • The ability to create, monitor, and track the vendor registration process was complex.
  • Considerable manual intervention was involved, resulting in a delayed registration process.
  • The interface between the existing applications caused system latency issues and unforeseen delays.
Solution
  • Streamlined Vendor Registration Process: PreludeSys developed a user-friendly Portal PowerApps application to create and maintain Vendor Master Records. It facilitated centralized entry, enabling a large user base to create, monitor, and track vendor registration processes efficiently.
  • Automation of Approval Processes: An automated approval workflow process was set up to prevent manual intervention and enabled the organization to focus on client responsibilities instead of redundant tasks.
  • Reduced Latency: Power App automation reduced delays in the registration process by automating approval steps, ensuring timely processing of vendor data. It also prevented unforeseen delays by improving the interfacing between the vendor registration application and existing systems.
