As the nation’s leading restoration contractor, the client’s employees worked at multiple locations, procuring various materials for daily operations. This data had to be handwritten in ‘Material requisition forms’, which had to be later manually entered into the enterprise application Sage 300 ERP. Due to the extensive process, their enterprise needed more efficiency in assignment processing and material requisitioning. Manually processing XactAnalysis assignments via FTP and XML files led to errors and slowed workflows. There were challenges in the manual processing of XACT assignments, where the data was stored as zip files in an FTP path.
These manual interventions led to complexity in processing the data and created more errors in the processes; there were also gaps in mapping the relations between the tables in Salesforce. Additionally, field agents relied on paper-based material requisition forms, causing data inaccuracy and delays. They required a partner who could automate the entire process to address these challenges.
